I always felt like gear hurt my sumo pull....even wearing a pair of loose briefs made getting into position awkward....:dunno:

I wasn't saying it doesn't add anything, a lot of people are getting a ton out of gear on the sumo pull. Gear does add pounds to the lifts. What I was saying is that in my experience I felt that gear hindered me getting into position thus hurting me. I pulled more raw sumo (525) then I ever did with gear on (501).

I don't like pulling with gear either way, and pulling sumo just feels wrong to me.

    Fuck that.

I've never used sumo to get most out of my deadlift, but I like it as a means of building hip strength :dunno:

What? I've sumo'ed more raw then I have with gear on. The numbers speak for themselves.

christophers is probably right about my sumo for sucking....conv just feels more natural so that's what I do now...

Word plus I'm more of a lower back puller so conventional suits me better, I have a similar style to christophers in that regard. I damn near stiff leg them shits.
