I'm taking about 4000mg daily is that enough or to much???
I'm actually wondering the same thing.
i take 5 1300mg pills per day...
i'd like to know a recommendation too...
i'm up to 220 lbs now
I took 11g of fish oil for breakfast.
I take 1 tablespoon of flex seed oil every night, not sure what that translates into for the pill form though.
1 tablespoon = 15 mL = 15 g
there's no special amount, take it as your diet requires
What benefits does Flax have exactly?
You are assuming that it has a density of 1g/mL which it probably does not.

I take 4-6 1000mg caps a day. I've noticed a HUGE difference in my joints and energy since I upped it from 1.
most people take it for heart health
It's a good approximation, most oils are between 0.90-0.95 g/mL
teaspoon is ~5mL, which translates to 4-5g reasonable.
It seems more that people take omega 3s (specifically) for heart health, and flax seed for joints. Flax seed will help with your overall health, but if your main concern was overall health I think omega 3s would be a better choice.
