I like to keep my desktop pretty neat, but I've been letting it get out of hand lately.

I have 223 items on my desktop at the moment. :eek3:

The oldest is 10/1/06. 100 items are older than 6/15/07.

Most of them were stacked on top of the "Macintosh HD" icon... I realized that I had way too much shit the other day when I tried to uncover it (so I could "Get Info" on my drive) and it took me like 5 minutes. :mamoru:

I've used the same desktop background image for like 8 years now, I don't mind covering it up. :o

I download to the desktop / save new documents there. Stuff I want to keep gets filed away (eventually). Most of the stuff just gets deleted, though.

It's supposed to be a metaphor for an actual desktop -- where you put stuff that you are currently working on. File folders are where you put stuff that you want to save for the future.

If it weren't for clutter there'd be no Penicillin. Anal-retentive mania = lose.

Those who must constantly exert control over the clutter of their desktop probably have very little else that they can exert control over.

oh yeah? well, my anal retention allows me to exert control over 3/4 million - 1M dollar construction projects and sometimes 40-50 workers at a time.

being a scatterbrained, unorganized, and otherwise lazy piece of shit = lose

    cool logic though
