The subject says it all. Today is chest and triceps day for me. Should I do two exercises per muscle, or more?

    Triceps:
    Skull crusher
    Close grip bench

    Chest:
    Bench press
    DB Flys

It would obviously make a quicker workout, but would it be as effective?

    Thanks.

good question, im wondering the same. i've been doing 4-5 exercises per muscle and my workout is way too long IMO @ roughly 75-90 minutes

i usually go with 4 heavy excercises per body part, since i only work out 1 body part a day, im finished in less then 45 mins.

I couldn't answer that for you but Bauer's sackrider is about right. Just make sure you're training chest before tri's though, well... unless you can't do a tri extension with a pink db... then its probably about time to hit those triceps.

    this is what i do.

Monday (chest) - 6 or 7 different exercises. Workout for about 60min. maybe less.

    Wed (shoulder/back) - 8 or 9 exercises.

    Fri (arms) - 5 or 6 exercises.

    sunday (legs) - 5 exercises.

All last about an hour. shoulder/back normally lasts a bit longer as i have lots to do.

I tried 2 exercises per muscle group today:

    Triceps:

    Skullcrusher
    Tricep pushdown

    Chest:
    Bench press
    Flyes

Stupidly, I did the triceps first and after burning them out, moved onto the bench... I won't go there :(

Still, though, I can barely lift my arms--always a good sign! :big grin:

I don't know how some of you guys can do up to 9 exercises especially if you're giving it your all...
