how many exercises per muscle group do you recommend?

    2-3 per group...and around 30 reps for each exercise (like 5x6)? should i try to have the same number of exercises per muscle group?


    my one day i hit 3 groups and other days i hit 2 groups so id be doing on the day where i have 3...3 groups * 3 exercises * 30 = 270 reps total in one day...going to almost failure each set...is this excessive?
