    1. Back of neck. At a carbine glass sweating like crazy, a piece of brass got stuck under my shirt. Didn't notice the burn until it felt itchy a few days later at the office and I pulled off a big chunk of skin.

    2. Upper arm. Doing "urban" or rollover prone drills, a buncha brass rolled down and got me good

    3. Not sure if there is any scarring on the inside of my nostril. A .223 case at an indoor range bounced off the wall, off my stock (bad follow through i know) and up my nose. The heat seared the mucus and formed a strong bond, i shook my head to no effect. Had to yank it out with my hand. The scab made it hard to pick my nose for a week.

  2. I've had more than a few brass burns. I don't think any of them left lasting scars though.

Would it just spit brass right across it or something?

Don't think I have any scars, been burnt enough though. I do have a mental scar of a full .45 bullet bouncing off a bowling pin I shot 10yds away and smacking me in the shoulder. I shudder when I think that thing could've hit me in the mouth and busted the hell out of my teeth. Had a giant bruise for a while. Makes me jittery every time I shoot anything other than paper with a pistol at close yardage.

It dumps brass out the bottom and enough gets piled up, that when moving around you catch yourself laying on it.

Been singed a couple of times but none that left scars.

I have plenty of scarring (about 30% of body) from other burns though.

I shoot lefty. No scars and not much problem other than with some shotguns, as long as I keep my right arm tucked down.

I shoot in the open mostly, but when I shoot rifle enclosed, I use a brass catcher. I learned early and young.

I just took a bit of .40 jacket in the neck last week shooting at some close range pepper poppers.

You shoot enough at anything besides paper and it happens. :dunno:

not brass but I got a nice copper burn scar from installing a 3/4" copper line set in a wall, after torching it I reached around to grab something through the wall and stuck the inside of my bicep to it. left a nice 1/2 wide by 3" long scar.

Those .45s like to bounce back. I was shooting bowling pins a few years ago with a 1911 and I took a ricochet in the pants.
I can't count the number of times I've been hit with jackets when I'm shooting or ROing steel matches. Makes ya realize how important eye protection is.
