You are going to get at least 300jpeg in highest quality -- not sure if the rebel has a compressed raw mode, but then it will be closer to 80 or 130-150 if it can shoot compressed raw

You have the cam already, right? Just times whatever card you have to make it to a 1gig. so if you have a 256 times it by 4 and you'll know. there may be a picture or two differnce, but nothing to worry about.

I just grabbed a 4gig Extreme III :noes: and will get a 1gig sd so I'll never have to switch cards during the day when I get the mark II. That and a labtop for trips and such seem like a better plan that a p-2000

449 :ugh: no where has been able to keep a steady supply of them yet, so no mark down yet. Picked up a 1gb ultra II SD from costco for 79 tonight. Thats 5 gigs in camera when I finally get the mark II :noes:

2 gig extreme 3's are in the 200-250 range, and less per gig for the 1gb, so if you can change out cards, get a smaller one. Most cameras won't really benefit from 20mb/s transfer speed though
