ideally, i'd liek to have 50 AK, 50 or 60 AR (since 30 fit in a SAW can perfectly) and 10 or 15 Glock 9mm mags....

which means i need 31 AK, 20 or 30 AR and 6-11 glock :wtc:

Seriously though I think thats all that matters. My .22lr handgun and 10mm handgun are both range toys. Spending 100's of dollars on mags for them would be pointless for me, 2-3 are fine. I know some of the games use like 6 mags at a time so if you see wanting to play those sometimes you might have at least that.

I think a lot of people sacrifice money that could go toward ammo or optics or something that actually gets them out on the range than boxes and boxes of unused mags at home. Really, 100 mags for an AR?

Buy what you need, spend what you can, but remember the goal is to be on the range and shooting. Don't give that up to build a magazine fort.

Six 30 rounders and one 20 (one that functions). I plan on replacing at least one magazine spring and three green followers with Magpuls here in the near future. I think I'll be set though after that.

Q: How many magazines for XYZ weapon is "enough"?

A: When you can answer the question "How many do you have now?" with "I lost count."

the guys i work with who are in the service tell me they go out with 7 30rnd mags when they go out on patrol.

i would say 10 for rifles. 3 just in case one breaks and you need parts.
