So since Jan 15th I have lost 16 pounds.

    I am 6'4 and was 240 I am now 6'4 and 224.

My "healthy weight" is 209 pounds. The thing is I have broad shoulders so I have a pretty wide back, I'm also a genetically big guy (not big as in fat just the way I am built). Now because of this I am scared to get too thin, not saying that I am thin right now or anything I still have another 15 lbs to loose. What are your suggestions for getting to a certain weight and then starting to bulk?

    What do you guys think?

Ps: Reading the stickies helped me loose 15 pounds! I can actually properly do pull ups and push ups properly more than 10 times and be tired!

bmi is total bullshit that doesn't account for much muscle mass. Lose weight until you think you look good then try to add some more muscle.

I must warn you, you may never think you look good :o body dysmorphia ftl.

Just keep setting new goals until you get to a body type that you like.

The thing that I am worried about is getting way to low and have to eat to gain weight and then gain it all back.

Make sure you are lifting heavy and eating adequate protein (1g per lb) while you are trying to lose weight. Also make sure you are lifting heavy ass weights. This will help you to retain the muscle you do have.

Once you reach your goal, and you want to put on quality mass, do this:
    1) Don't jump right into a bulking phase...you will probably gain too much fat right off the bat.
    2) Do raise calories to maintenance levels for a couple of weeks to a month.
    3) After your maintenance period, slowly raise your calories. Maybe add 250 per day to your daily maintenance level, and re-evalutate where you are in two weeks. If you aren't gaining enough, add another 250 daily cals. Personaly, I would add these as carbs/protein around the PWO period. On the days you don't hit the weights, I would add the 250 from quality fats. If you start gaining too fast, you can either add some cardio to slow down fat gain, or roll the calls back a bit.

BMI is only worthwhile for sedentary individuals who neither exercise nor have a physical job.

Yeah I thought a lot about this.

Best way to go is by %BF I'm guessing, where can I get these test dones or are there specific scales that tell you?
