What is your weight right now? You have to assume starting to diet you will drop ~8lbs first week with water, then just losing fat you are looking at 2lbs a week (some won't just be fat either) if you want to be healthy about it... I lost ~30 in 3 months cutting last year but I was extremely strict and lost some muscle, not all 30 was fat either some was water that came right back

I did almost that exact thing; it took me about a year of really dedicated training. I lost 50 lbs of body-weight but I'm noticeably more muscular than I was when I was just a big ole blob of fat. I actually just found an old facebook picture tha made me  :barf: a little

Healthy, 1-2lbs a week OVERALL is what you should aim for.

I lost 50-60lbs from May to February.

I just fucked up my wrist though; missing my first full week of working out in quite a while. Even though I hate cardio with a passion I'll probably go run a few miles out of sheer guilt until leg day on thursday :hs:

I had originally leaned out down to 195 lbs, and then upped my caloric intake and lifting schedule to where it is. 280-300g protein a day, 3200 calories a day, lift MTWR rest FSS.

1-2 pounds a week of fat maybe a little more if you are over 20% or so. so about 26 weeks if you are on point.
