First Recall: It's the floormats guize, srsly!

Second Recall: Okay, we finally figured it out, it's due to the lack of a metal shim!

<Insert Multiple Professors and the Woz saying otherwise...>

    Toyota: :hsughno:

If it were the ECU, they would have fixed the ECU.

Electronically controlled throttle seems a little silly to me. :o

It makes traction control and automatic transmission control much easier.

My 05 Toyota has the older design (read: safe) DBW throttle, and although the pedal has NO feel like a conventional throttle, it allowed me to easily and cheaply install OE Cruise Control. :o

Out of curiosity, my aunt has a ~02 WRX. Is that drive by wire? Because the feel of it's pedal is fantastic.

Speaking of Toyotas, I wish dealers didn't want a mint for 09 and 10 Vibes now. :wtc:

My 98 Jetta TDI doesn't have a throttle cable, but it doesn't have a throttle body either.

They almost never have problems and fault to no "throttle" input.

It's even possible to use it as an 'electronic limited-slip differential.' I think the latest Mini is the first car to do this.

No, I'm wondering if it is drive-by-wire or cabled.

I'd get an Elantra Touring first, IMHO. The Vibe and Matrix ride like an old chuck-wagon.
