15 years. I brought home a mac+ that the company was going to pitch.

The first one I bought was a Power Computing Power Tower Pro 250. It was just before Apple pulled the plug on their license in '96.

Although I don't use it anymore, I have it upgraded with a Sonnet G4 800 running 10.2, 1 gig of ram and an upgraded video card. I finally had enough when I bought an iPod and couldn't get it to sync because the PTP didn't have native firewire.:wtc:

Well when I was really young I use to play with them when I was around 7-12 I went thru a few different systems I remember having a Centris 610. Also I remember trying to learn to program in hypercard. Yes odd a young kid programming his own games at that age. Anyways once I got on windows 95 i started playing games and got stuck on it when it was a larger variety of playing and learning stuff. During college I spent most of my time on macs in class G4-G5 era, than after college about 3 months a go I bought my first G5 Quad. Now I am loving it since it works well with what I do. I plan on buying an MBP and selling off all my pc equipment.

Dear Lord that brings back memories. I can almost hear the intermittent buzzing of the floppy drive.

Does anyone remember Leisure Suit Larry?

hahaha I remember Leisure Suit Larry. I was selling Macs back in the early 90s...the Classic, LC, II Si and II C models were the most popular. This was ~'90 - '91 time frame and I do remember that if you were really rich....you could get the IIsi with the 80 MB Harddrive (standard was 40 MB)....yeah...that's Megabytes! :) Oh man...those were the days.

Here's a photo of one of the older ones:

I haven't used macs much since then but I'm thinking about picking one up after I finish my second degree...when I have more money to spend.
