  1. I'm looking to gain like 25 lbs before spring break which is in mid april.

i'm around 175 and I want to hit 200. I started lifting like a week ago, but I'm only going two days a week.

I've read the weight gaining guide, but how long does it usually take to reach a goal like this?

That wouldn't be lean if you accomplished it that fast. At least I wouldn't think so.

25lbs by this spring break won't do anything for ya but make you look silly

follow one of the many standard diets posted above, get it a little above your caloric maintenance, follow one of the good routines from the stickies, don't pound down Cinnabon all day, keep at it, you'll see changes

there's no miracle way to do it

  10. thanks

how about a weight gaining sup? or is that just a joke this early in the process?

Whey protein to help the diet is usually a staple, things like BCAAs / Creatine / Fish Oil / etc. people buy and use because they are cheap, but really it's mostly hard work and a non retarded diet that'll get you places

Dude, you can easily do it but you won't be able to add nearly any muscle so you'll look like total shit.

  13. i figured it would just like fat mass, not muscle mass. but its hard to imagine me fat - when i'm so skinny and defined

Gaining 25 pounds would be easy if you did what he did on supersize me. Realistically you might gain 10 give or take depending what you're doing and how you're eating.

    3500 cals/lb * 25lb = 87,500 calories above your normal rate

If you're just starting out you'll hit newbie gains but don't get too crazy with the diet.

just eat a lot and lift. you'll put on some decent muscle in the next 2 months since you're such a newbie.

Good advice. It does take 3500 cals to put on 1lb of fat.
