I have never used that pad you mention but I have never noticed my pads loosing their bite. I always run my pads until they are badly stained or until they are worn out (tears, velcro coming off, etc.)

How do you clean your pads? Maybe they have some build up in them and need a good cleaning.

I clean mine after every use. If product builds up in the pores, the pad won't be as effective.

I just rinse mine out under a steady stream of water... I found that agitating my pads caused premature wear on the velcro side of the pad.

My Meguiar's cutting pad didn't last long at all... I guess I got an older pad, because after one use, the velcro backing peeled halfway off :ugh:

    Dish soap and water.

bunmango-Meguiars has changed the adhesive they were using. I got a new batch of pads and the velcro backing is holding on tight, even after using one of them on a 25' camera truck with an oxidized gelcoat.
