I usually rest 2 minutes between sets. What's optimal period of rest?

Now that I have that gym buddy program for my phone, usually 60 seconds.

Unless it's something small like arms, flies, etc I do 30 seconds.

1:30 - 2:00, sometimes up to 3:00 between my last warmup/work set and my heaviest set if I'm going for a PR.

I did one minute rests yesterday on squats, leg press, and lunges. I am pretty sure I had a few strokes.

1min for everything, unless I feel like I can get by with 45sec.

doesn't matter based on some study of this. If you wait longer you do higher intensity so it balances out.

Wow you guys have such short rests.

I just go when I'm ready, but the few times I've looked at the clock it's usually 3-4 minutes if it's any kind of legs/back exercise. 2-3 for the others.

45 normally, 1min if I feel like going extra heavy one day. Sometimes i'll cut it down to 30 too.

I like maintaining a high intensity.

Can't imagine taking the rests some of you do, i'd get bored and feel like i'm wasting time taking 3-5 minute rests.
