170 was his heart rate during cardio

why would you not eat for 24 hours? yoru just going to end up losing a whole bunch of muscle and probably slowing down your metabolism.

    how tall are you?

sorry to hear about your brother, didn't you make a post on here before? I know it's depressing to lose someone, but starving yourself is only going to be more stressful and stress leads to fat gain (high cortisol levels). Try to eat normal, just do it cleanly and watch the types of foods you eat

starving yourself will probably do more harm than good the long run. not only will you slow you metabolism, but teh muscle you lose is valueable for burning calories, so you'll be more likely to put the lost weight right back on.

you can lose a decent amount of weight by just eating right, lifting and doing cardio, and I bet if you asked the doctor, he would say the exact same thing

Its really hard to say because we don't know what type of person he is. Maybe his brother's death will give him the determination and motivation to follow it through to the end. Also, the quick results would make him want to stick to it more rather than a traditional plan.

anything blocking out basically all carbs and severly limiting calories is going to be tough. It's not recommended for newbies.

Just stick to a good solid plan, give me some foods that you like (that are healthy) to eat, and I'll see what I can do about writing you a diet plan. Age and weight right now?

not to scare you, but at this point, you'd havcemore of a chance of dying bystressing your body with no food than you would by redcuing caloric intake and exercising.
