How long between lifts?

    Hey ot fit crew after a strenuous workout, how long is necessary to wait before attempting to lift with the same muscles and still be effective and not overtraining? I have heard of many responses some even on this forum but never really a clear response to this question but I wanted to know your opinion. Thanks

    it depends on the volume and intensity of your workouts

    ok well then from a high volume and high intensity work out?

    i find the best length is however long it takes before I feel i can do the next set.

    and thats different for everybody

    but i have read and known that you cant lift the same muscles every single day. From what you are saying "however long it takes before i feel i can do the next set" doesnt seem right becuase that would mean you could lift as much as you want and work out the same muscles every day and not be over training

    he's talking about the amount of time between workouts, not between sets

    so hypothetically a Monday tri lift and a Wednesday tri lift would be too close ?
