    I'm getting so fucking sick of the get big or get lean fast bullshit that is EVERYWHERE. TV, internet, books, magazines. Even with the best drugs and hardcore training there is nothing fast about it.

    I work my legs in between this workout I usually hit the gym 3 days a week so it alternates...they claim if you follow the program you should add 1-1.5" to your arms in 12 weeks I'm not a large guy to begin with so I thought I was doing good forgot everyone on OT probably has 20" arms :hsugh: My goal wasnt to win body building competitions just be fit for my size and not have such scrawny arms/chest :o

    Dont have a digital cam right now mine broke so no pics :hs:

    why don't you just follow a real routine?

    most of the time, the routines made be people new to the gym are garbage :hs:

    I found that routine from the sticky thread in this section...is there a better site? I'd love to get on a full body routine

    you can also try the Bill Starr routine which can be found in the sticky

    what do you expect dude? You've been going to the gym for 4 weeks, youre doing some bizaare ass arms only routine and youre asking us if you've made progress without having any pictures to judge it. I would bet the difference in size is either due to fat or a pump anyway in 4 weeks. Like cave said: Are you fucking with me?

    Get a real routine and don't worry about progress in a 4 week span.

    maybe this is why a lot of guys walk around with great arms but with a trunk that is the same circumference as their midsection...

    I'm a beginner at this so I picked an area I thought needed some help and went with it, I'm learning now that was the wrong way to go about it. Learn from mistakes right? :o

    Is that Rippetoe routine any good?

    The starting strength routine is good and generally praised by noobs. You should check his book out, as it does a great job of explaining everything.

    there is nothing wrong with that routine, and being 1-2 times a week it's obviously not to be used as your only routine during that time

    Dude, if youre a begginner, (and I intend no disrespect) you probably need help in every area. Find a routine that hits all of the major muscle groups and that you can actually stick with and make sure you eat enough.

    None taken, I'm not in awful shape to start with luckily b/c I try to stay active and eat right. I started at 5'6"/145/15% bf, gonna pick up that book and go with that :)
