How is my diet?

    I'm 5'11" 180 pounds. I've been bulking since june when i was 150 pounds. For the month of september I was eating probably 500 calories more than this and I gained 10 pounds but I was starting to get too fat for my liking so I've cut it down a bit. I want to be more than 200 pounds by January or February.


    3623 calories

    1438 protein/1436 carb/749 fat

    40 percent protein
    40 percent carb
    20 percent fat




    Breakfast

    3 eggs
    288 calories/24g protein/1.5g carbohydrates/20 grams fat

    1 scoop ON whey protein
    120 calories/23g protein/5g carb/1.5g fat

    1cup oatmeal
    300 calories/12g protein/54g carb/6g fat

    236 protein/242 carb/247 fat

    Meal 2

    2 cans tuna
    180 calories/40g protein/2g fat

    1 cup shredded wheat
    190 calories/5g protein/45g carb/1g fat

    180 protein/180 carb/27 fat

    Meal 3

    1 cup oatmeal
    300 calories/12g protein/54g carb/6g fat

    2 scoops on whey protein
    240 calories/46g protein/10g carb/3g fat

    1 tablespoon flax oil
    130 calories/14g fat

    Meal 4

    2.5 scoops on whey protein

    Damn, you picked up 30lbs since June? nice... Im really starting to work at gaining weight again and thats a pretty motivational/inspirational thing to read... that makes my goal seem extremely achievable and I might be taking in a little bit more calories than that even... good job.

    I am probably more of a hard gainer though, my metabolism has VTEC. :squint:

    By the way have you eaten that same diet, every single day this whole time? that must get kind of old without variety.. I wish I could afford to eat chicken, steaks, etc. every day though - gets pretty expensive to buy those kinds of food if consumed everyday.

    Just wondering if you change things up at all and have any kind of variety or if its the same exact thing everyday?

    yea i've changed a lot of it along the way, especially when i started school again in september. i bring the tuna and cereal with me to school for one meal and for the other i put the oatmeal, protein and flax oil in a shaker cup. meal 5 is just an example of what i'll eat one but usually the nutritional value is about the same. it's always either chicken, beef, pork or fish and then potatoes, pasta, rice or something like that.

    10 of the 30 pounds came in september when i was eating like 4200-4500 calories a day. since i've cut it back down a week ago my weight has stayed the same but my waist size has gone down a little. :dunno:

    10lbs just in September seems like a great rate, Id love to hit a rate like that.. granted I dont want to gain too much fat but some will not bother me at all.

    4000-5000 is probably my target / day.. Im at 3179 today and probably have another 6-7 hours before I goto sleep.

    I hope jumping to a huge increase in calories right away (instead of gradually) does not cause me to hit a plateu where I cannot gain weight anymore unless I go up even higher though, because higher will be a hell of a lot if im already doing 4000-5000.

    Anyhow, not trying to Hijack your thread -- sounds like you are well on your way to your goal to me. Im just looking for about 40 lbs by march 06' but if I can get there sooner I would be absolutely thrilled.

    yea i felt like i was getting too fat but my strength went up a lot. i was always bloated too.
