I have been doing the Bill Starr not assiociated with Christopers what so every routine (better a-bomb?) for the past few months and have started doing front squats instead of the light squat/lunges that the routine calls for. My question is; how do you do these? I tried doing it with my wrists bent backwards and the bar on my shoulders and this killed my wrists. They even hurt for the next day. I also tried it with my arms crossed over the bar with the bar again resting on my shoulders. I was only doing maybe 150lbs and my shoulders hurt like hell for the rest of the workout from the bar resting on there, so I doubt I could ever go up in weight with these. I really liked doing them and would like to continue with them, but do you just have to deal with the pain from the bar on your shoulders, or am I doing them wrong?
