How important is burn-in?

    For a desktop user... Pointless..... For me real world mission critcal systems... Super important. we burn all of our nodes, heads, deve, and storage boxes for 48 hours at 100% across all CPU's then ship them to the buyer.

    memtest86 for lunch
    3dmark for an hour or so if it's got discrete gfx

    they don't burn in them at the factory?

    what about a ready made pc? does that undergo any burn in?

    The only thing that needs to burn in is TIM ... everything else is stability testing.
