Should be cake. Just go down to a local car audio shop and buy a wiring harness ($5-15) and some crimp connectors first though.

he could do that, and in about a week, he'll be pissed at you because your suggestion just fried his hu. The bose system need to be either bypassed or intergrated, hence the reason installation cost so buch.

If you are going to do it yourself you may need to run all new speaker wire to your speakers, but that depends if a bose amp controls everything or if they are self amplified speakers.

most morons will over charge when bose is mentioned because of fears of it, but most times it's no harder to do than any other radio. in your case you can do one of two things, eiter go to each speaker and bypass the amps, or by a converter and intergrate the amps.

Umm...most Bose cars take substantially longer to do a radio in than most. That is unless you use an interface kit in which case you just spent 40-100 dollars to keep a very shatty factory system working that will probably go bad anyway.

not to be a prick, but it it takes you substantially longer than you don't know what you're doing. I know this b/c I own a maxima w/ bose, and an acura w/ bose. The maxima took all of 15 minutes to put a radio in, and the Acura took about 45 (that was only b/c oh the gayness that is getting to Honda radio security screws)

Hell even if you're determined to bypass each amp it takes all of an extra 30 minnutes to get to and by pass each speaker

Japanese cars are easy. I'd be impressed if you said doing an amp bypass is easy in a mercedes e320 or an s series.

heh funny you mention, not that they are hard, just time consuming, i had an early 90's MB the other day, wouldn't have been so bad but there were ant colonies in the running boards

lol, i just finished a e320 the other day and it was surprisingly easy, probably took like 1.5 or so. I did a deck and 4 chan in a s series and that was not fun.

man you have to hate bose......i worked for CC for 7 years doing sales and installing and i did hundreds of those fuckers....almost ever one we did we talked them into changing it all out....and after they heared it they where so glad they spent more money changing out the radio and 4 speakers......

im telling you .....gut the hole thing and put something in there you will enjoy more.....it will cost more to do that but it pays off :bigthumb:

As they say" No highs, no lows, must be Bose" :o

On the newer maximas, like 04 and up, you dont have to rewire the car. I was pleasently surprised when the harness worked.
