Being able to bench is not going to get you through BCT. You need endurance mostly. However, many people worse off than you come through it. It is a matter of determination.

Why dont you go to college and do ROTC??? Then youll have a degree in 4 years, be an officer, and get to party and bang chicks the whole time your working on it. just my .02 cents.

meh with my grades its eather eastern illinois, which is by far the shittiest college in illinois or community college, and i would rather enlist in the army

and smokey joe, ik, i was just giving you guys and example of my fitness well bieng, i have been playing hockey all my life, and varsity hockey through high school, and i like to think i have a decent amount of endurance. If the physical part isnt that bad, i know the mental shouting the face part will be the worst for me...any info on that part?

Basic training was the most fun I never want to have again... It's honestly not that bad, plus with these tales of the recent BCT classes, it's probably cake. You can probably take your cell phone with you now and shit.

don't discount college so quickly. even going to community college for two years, getting your grades up, and then going somewhere else to finish is a pretty good option (allows you to save some money, get an idea of what you want to do, etc). if military service is something you still want to do you then have the officer route open.

don't jump right into an enlistment because your grades aren't stellar.

yeah but its not only that, ive always thought about joining the army even if my grades went bad, but now its becoming the time where i should be thinking about it, im still applying to 3 major colleges, maybe ill get in one, but if i did enlist, i would go to college once i get back, anyways i have work in 20 min. peace.
