How good or bad are these packaged HT systems?

    Looking to put together a home theater setup. Nothing too crazy, just something that sounds good and is easy to use.

    How good or bad are these systems that you find at best Buy and shit? Again, not looking for anything amazing. Just looking for good sound with little effort.

    is probably gonna be better than the ones you posted. If you're willing to hop around a bit and don't mind refurbed stuff, then I really like the athena point5 system: http://ww1.onecall.com/PID_23123.htm + refurb Onkyo 501 receiver: http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?DPNo=157373 which puts you at about $680 and with, imho, a really nice 6.1 system.
