And I'm not just talking about running for miles and miles. Watching the training regimes of some of these MMA fighters is making me wonder how useful our strength is in a fight if we gas after the first punch. Watch the Ultimate Fighter to see how important conditioning is. So I basically came up with this set to see how many I can do. It's basically like this: - pushups - standing high jump (as high as you can) - clean & jerk (using half body weight) - situps You do 10 reps of each one after another with zero breaks at all. After first set through, I was thinking this is cake... too easy second run through, I was gasping for air but doing ok. 3 set through I was dying for air and very very sluggish. All in all, it seems my conditioning is only marginally better than an untrained person. I've started to add 10minutes of this at the end of every workout. Havent made it anywhere near 10min yet but I'm liking the challenge so far. How would you guys do? Think this is worth doing or has this been tried, tested, and failed?
