How frequently do you deadlift

    I've been doing twice a week. And try to go for a new max every time. Do you think I'm overtraining?

    a 5rm on monday and a 3rm on friday

    the weight of friday's 3rm becomes the next monday's 5rm

    I don't really stick to a set routine but in a week I like to have one day for snatches and one day for deadlifts. I think I'll start mixing it up with some snatch-grips and straight-legs.

    once a week.. well, really it's just once per liftime.. the days between my deadlifts are just reallllllly long rest periods.. i heard they're good for hypertrophy..that's waht neo and rev told me

    Just to switch up my routine. I wanted to try something different. Chrisophers routine helped me get a good base so I wanted something harder.

    Conventional usually going for a 5RM and SLDL for an 8RM

    Heavy DL work up to 1-5RM 1/week
    C&J off floor another day
    Pin pulls or shrugs or some other accessory movement at some point as well

    From the floor? Maybe once-twice a month. Otherwise I do rack pulls, some kind of heavy squat lift, pulls off a box, etc.

    3 times a week for 2 weeks then 2 weeks off.

    on leg (SLDL) and back day (RDL).

    I was doing 3x week... Now it seems like since nobody does it that often maybe I should lay off, and maybe that's why I sprained my lower back muscles.

    Routine is as follows:

    Bill Starr style Monday = heavy, weds = light, fri= medium


    Squats 5x5, DL's 5x5, bench 5x5, then stuff like weighted wide-grip pull ups (minus well do lat pulls), midsection work added.


    is 5x5 DL's too much to do 3x per week since I'm also squatting?
