you go to your forehead, or the crown of your head (behind)

guessing going back further is more beneficial?

that's one exercise I don't do at all but would think keeping the arms perpendicular to the floor as possible is correct.

guess the arm angle can vary but keeping it stationary is key.

to me, that is a tricep pullover

a skullcrusher is more like what ccrooks described, taking the bar to the forehead, arms perpendicular to the floor

Pullovers... the upper arms will be more parallel to the floor.

Try to keep your arms in the same place (perpendicular to the floor) and lower the bar to your head. If you really wanna get hardcore, just smash it into your skull every rep.

I lower to the forehead and bounce it off, touch and go skull crushers, it was kevin levrone's secret to his triceps.

probably there's a difference - it looks like the .gif above is more of a pullover - probably works muscles other than the triceps (lats, serratus, etc.) because it's not as strict

I usually bring the bar down to the crown of my head. I dont like to keep my arms perfectly straight up tho, I keep my elbows pointed slightly towards my head. I feel like that keeps my triceps under constant stress. I think having your arms straight up can lead to resting at the top of the movement.

Basically like this, on a flat bench, though I'm generally able to keep my arms perpendicular when I go the full way down.
