Just finished the first one...and other than some choppiness and annoying load times, i loved it. i enjoyed all of the characters, the weapon/armour/upgrade system, the fact that you could fly anywhere you wanted to immediately. overall i thought it was a more refined KOTOR

anything that was wrong with mass effect 1 is gone, and it becomes more epic than the first

Although it can be a little bit more linear at times when the main missions take over. But the design makes the story better I think.

not nearly epic enough to warrant a play through. clunky combat system, shitty rpg element. pretty much a watered down shooter with a tacky leveling system. it could have been a great shooter or a great rpg but not both.

good story and voice acting but definitely not worth a purchase. more of a rental.

I never played ME1, I kinda want to though, I enjoyed dragon age origins, is it kind of the same?

don't worry, it happens pretty late in the game. So you'll forget about it by the time you get there.

Eh, the combat system in ME1 can take a bit getting used to. Its basically an RPG hiding in a shooter. ME2 has a much better system, more of a shooter with RPG elements.

RPGs are the bane of my existence. if they've got a good story with characters i really like, they become really tough to put down.

really? i really wish i could have done more with Wrex, Tali, and Ashley. something involving their histories and specific species more. a side quest line where you help the fleet or find a cure for the genophage or something
