There are PLs with little LBM but weigh say 300lbs however they are stronger than those with more LBM but weigh around 200 or so. How does that work? Does fat help improve strength? Maybe it aids in leverage? Or is it simply training your muscle fibers to work more efficiently?

well say a 300lb guy has 50% body fat. LBM would be 150lbs. 200lbs at 15% would be 170lbs LBM.

Yeah ducd, that happens a lot. I don't even think that there is a SHW under 45%... and most of the 200lb's are like 8-13, the 15 is a bit high

Maybe a better example would be a 300 lbr @ 35% and a 200 lbr @ 10%. The 300 lbr would have 195 lbs of LBM whileas the 200 lbr would have 180 lbs?

The arguement is dumb, but maybe that will help get his "point" across better?

Dave Tate was around 12% bf at 300lbs. That's 264lbs of lean mass.

He has no point because its fucking stupid.
