do you carry around full time gear, a bag full of cameras and lenses?

what do you like to take pictures of when you're just having fun?

i always have my camera bag with me in my car. its a "national geographic" bag that i got from the army surplus store. its sort of like my gadget bag. i have my canon xsi, and i will generally shoot whatever catches my eye. i also always have a wide angle filter that i got in san fransisco a couple years ago. its really nothing special, but i got totally ripped off by simply purchasing it (sucker!) so i make sure to use it and have fun with it. haha. im saving up for a true "fisheye" lens.

it will be mine...oh yes...it will be mine.

sometimes i will swap out and take pix with my sony a200, but i tend to keep that at home on a tripod to experiment with. :)

    so...how about everyone else?

i have noticed the OTAP crew is a pretty straightforward bunch.

you guys need to loosen up a little. ;)

I have recently been carrying around my cam in my 5mdh... its easy to carry and fits my gripped d90, a couple lenses, and a flash. I love that bag for an everyday carry bag and its really comfortable

    I usually have a Mamiya 7 with 80mm f4, or a Nikon S2 with 5cm f1.4 on me

Never bring my digital around for casual shooting :dunno:

I usually keep most my camera gear at home, except the one that I use at work which i keep in my locker and I used to have a PS in my car

i have a variety of cameras. i almost always have my canon xsi with me. i removed the neck strap and sort of carry it in what i like to call "the vigilante" look. i just replaced the neck strap with straps on each hook, a loop for each hand. it works out pretty well when getting a steady shot.

along with my xsi, in my work bag, i carry my olympus sp-350, which is a pretty decent point and shoot, and i also carry a little olympus stylus 600 for random stuff.

:dunno: im just a weirdo. i have too many cameras.

I gave up lugging my full gear and camera bags. Now, it's just a body with a lens attached.

When I'm on the go, and I feel that I might have something interesting to shoot along the way, I usually lug around my gear in a Lowepro Primus Minimus backpack. If I'm going somewhere where I can set shit down, I bring the Outback 300.

I do not drag my stuff around with me during the week because I cannot bring a camera into work and I do not feel like leaving everything in my truck.

Depending on what I am doing depends on what I bring. For example, heading out to shoot birds I will slap on the 70-200 and if I am going to wander the trails I will just grab the backpack with everything and carry that.

However, if I am somewhere like Chicago most of the time I will throw the flash on along with the 17-50 and just use that for walking around/museuems.

Next weekend I am shooting my buddy's kid at the park so I will probably be dragging everything under the sun (including umbrellas/softbox/lightstands) with me just so I can have everything with me.

I also keep praying to get robbed so I can claim insurance......

I have my Canon S90 everywhere I go. May not be a SLR, its f2.0 and has full manual and shoots raw :)

I don't like camera bags so I bought a lenscoat pouch/cover thingy that wraps tight around my dslr and a single lens attached. This way I can throw it into my regular backpack or in the back seat of the car. Usually I carry my old Panasonic FZ5 in my backpack to/from work or wherever. If all else fails, I use my Nokia, which is always with me.

I don't like to pack all my shit and the kitchen sink. Even when I go on a specific shooting trip, I only bring the necessities. Camera, the lens I plan on using, extra battery. Sometimes a flash, if needed.

Yup. I just put it on my passenger seat or floor. I don't want the risk of dropping anything while picking up the bag, or just worrying about which accessories to bring. It really depends on the shoot. But my most brought accessory is a tripod with a shoulder strap.

I have my domke F-4AF bag with me and it holds enough crap. I thought about getting a smaller bag. The truth is I dont carry my camera as much as I would like to and so it seems like I dont take many pictures lately, I need to just grab my bag with I go out from now on. I mean the bag aint that big

I just tote around the 800mm f/4 so I don't have to move to get the shot. I pretty much only shoot from the tops of buildings in a beach chair.

I just got an Apollo backback and now I can tote around all my gear. I keep an APS camera in the car to take pictures of stuff I see when I am driving. If I see something really cool I will return with my D80 and get more shots when the sun is in a better location.

hellz yeah. ill help you out. it would be way more believable if "2" brown guys were accused. the insurance company would say "what?! you mean you were mugged by two dark skinned men?? my lord!"

    its a win win.
