Is there a specific look you're going for?

IMO, you'd probably want less ambient light.

So, that would mean you probably want a faster shutter speed or a stopped down aperture(this is going to reduce flash exposure output as well).

If you took those photos in raw, decrease the exposure and up the black.

How do you like this one?

It's just a bbc on camera :hs:

    Simple, yet effective IMO.

    edit:

I'm up super early, cause I can't sleep. Been sick for the past 4 days... and I'm a bit excited cause the SO and I are going to go to a classic car museum in Blackhawk.

I can get by with two, but three would be optimal. I'll be picking up a Vivitar 285 since they're dirt cheap

    Direct, no diffusion.

The 430EX on the left is about 6' in the air, angled at 45 degrees towards the rear brake light on the spoiler. Distance about 15 feet.

The 580EX on the right is about 8' in the air, angled at 45 degrees towards the passenger side door handle. Distance about 20 feet.
