I listened to them at a local car audio shop when I was looking for a new set of front coaxials. From what I heard they sound very clean, and the bass on the sub (a 12in M3) is very nice, clean and loud. I'm thinking of buying one to replace my wonderfull 2 Sony 12in XPLOADers (dont ask). They sound alot better, and from what I was told one will easily be as loud as my 2 sony's.

So what do you think? Looking for some opinions. :x:

Any one know how much I can get for two 12in Sony Xploads in a sealed box and a Rockford 800a4 amp?

no, they are owned by fosgate... they have their own factory, and were making stuff before they got bought out.

Memphis products are pretty nice overall, pretty stout and sturdy. The amps' put out good power and the subs' do bump. I recommend them. They are also making noise the competition scenes (MECA, dB DRAG, NSPL, SLAP, etc.).

As for the Lightning Audio comment, LA actually puts out good products, despite the rumors about them being owned by RF - by the way, RF's new products kick serious ass.

Memphis has been around for years (and when I say years, i'm talking decades). The name is pretty well known, and from my experience, they make a great product. I worked with an installer using 2 15" MOJO subs setting world records in a festiva with several thousand watts. He swore by Memphis products, and I felt that they were great, given the limited number of installs that we used them in since we weren't a dealer.

it's still fultron, even under a different name plate... like i said before, the subs are great.

"Memphis Car Audio celebrates 40 years in aftermarket auto sound.
Staring in 1965, Arthur Fulmer introduced an under dash 4-track player to the aftermarket. The late 1960s saw 8-track units, CB Radios in the 1970s, then tape and CD into the 1980s and early 1990s.
The ARIA brand of speakers brought new acclaim to the FULTRON line of the 1990s, bringing home our first IASCA Championships in the late 1990s.
The Memphis Car Audio brand was launched in January of 1998 to rave reviews, and the brand continues growing by leaps and bounds today.
2005 brings several new and exciting products, including the all-new MClass line of amplifiers, as well as a complete Marine line including co-axial speakers, subwoofers and amplifiers"
