how do you keep your legs from swinging when you do hanging leg raises?

    tried to do that shit today, and was swinging all over the place :o tried to back up again a wall with the dip bars, but that didnt work either..any ideas?

    Hanging from those special straps or just using the leg raise "station"?

    Just try to control yourself, the muscles needed for controling yourself may not be suficiently developed.

    i hold myself like im doing a pullup, and lift my straight legs,...i felt it in my quads? :o

    i wish se had a leg raise "station"...roman chair, right?

    you're trying to swing yourself up and use that to keep you going

    Once you get use to the motion, the swinging goes down to a minimum.

    Seriously though, use the leg raise jungle gym thing, or focus on down.

    Oh, and if you point your heels down, it minimizes the swinging.
     
  10. You have weak legs if you feel it in your quads. It's strictly an ab workout.

    just dont swing them. use controlled motion instead kicking them up

    go slowly and concentrate on using your abs to do the work... don't worry so much about bringing your legs up to a certain height

    i've read that leg lifts target more your hip flexors than your abs.

    I have to use the thing that you rest yourself on your forearms (alot of times it is with a dip station), because when I use the ones that you hang from pullup bars I always end up getting a rhythym and it is like when you swing on a swingset as a kid.

    Control the motion up as well as down. Never let them swing.
