Do you have them on your computer or do you have a dedicated hard drive that you run them all off of? I need to start doing something about storage since my laptop is almost full and these damn pictures take up soo much space haha!

I've got two 500g drives in Raid 1 config. And I backup offline to my own web host with SyncBack. Looking at getting another external HDD for onsite backup.

1 TB hard drives. All my pics are stored on two different drives. I probably should be backing them up off site as well but I haven't gotten around to doing that.

Those with externals, do you have them on your internal hard drive as well or do you read eveything from the externals?

I would like a blu-ray burner so I can burn everything to disc too.

I have a 1TB internal HD, a 650mb internal HD (for applications) and a 1TB external HD for backup. I keep all the images that I'm currently working on on both the internal and external drives, then once a project is finished, I delete the files off my internal drive. I'll probably get another external HD so I can have two copies.

I use my externals primarily as backup. No reading from.

 You'd be better off buying 320gb 2.5" external drives than blu ray disks. They'll cost around the same price as 4 single layer blu ray disks and offer 12x the storage capacity of a single disk.

As for storage I would recommend getting some D-Link NAS boxes. Throw 2 1.5TB drives in there with RAID 0 or 1 (if you want redundancy).

My point was in addition to the externals I already use.
