I've tried cutting it into half inch slices, then baking, but that takes forever. I also tried microwaving, which is the easier alternative, but doesn't taste as good.

How else do you guys cook these godly carbs? Boil? What seasonings do you use?

Throw out some recipes, I'd like to try some.

Grab a sweet potato (also known as Yams to you hill-billies), poke a bunch of holes in it with a fork, wrap in wet paper towel, throw it in the microwave for 4 minutes, flip and throw back in for another 3-4 minutes and it's done.

depends on how big of pieces i cut them into and how many are on the pan, but usually about 15 minutes or so

I cut mine in long slices, wrap and place in microwave.
Then place on a cast iron skillet for a few minutes to brown up.

Just whip the egg up, or egg whites, egg beaters - whatever you want to use and poor it in there when the scramble is almost done cooking :dunno: Keep stirring it up and it cooks in there, sorta like fried rice but with a scramble.

i boil them for a little while, then fry em up like fried potatoes, maybe not the greatest for me but frying in a little olive oil doesnt make them too bad i think, and its the closest i get to regular potatoes these days

I just cut and boil them till they are done, then I mash them, like mashed potatoes. I've also deep fried them in corn oil, like French fries, love them this way. That's really it for me. My ex did have an awesome sweet potato casserole recipe ...
