How do you do upper body without looking like a resolutioner?

    You guys keep pissing on about the faggots who bench/curl exclusively, and I agree, but we all have our chest and arms day(s) each week. Maybe we all look like homo's hitting the gym 'cause it's new year :dunno:

    I looked around the gym today (leg day for me) a few people were hitting legs too, but 75% of the gym wasnt. Most were on cardio machines or doing bench/shoulders/arms/back exersises. Unless they were in awsome shape I couldnt tell who was a "frat boy" and who was trying to improve their whole body. how do you guys pick it out? I'm not in terrible shape, but if you saw me doing curls on arm day you would think I was one of the "tools" like everyone else, and I might think the same about you.:o

    Usually you can spot them when they are curling with just an oly bar in the squat rack and do excessive amounts of bis/abs.

    Or are DB pressing with 25's :mamoru: I saw that today. Couple dudes on the incline with 25's, his buddy was spotting him by pushing his elbows up each time :mamoru2:

    besides, most of the people around here with the elitist attitudes (congratulations, you work out your legs, have a cookie) and trash-talking mouths have been working out for like less than 6 months and have very little to show for it.

    who fuck cares about what other thinks. If they think you are a resolutioner because you are doing bi's and chest then good for them. Just get your ass in the gym and work hard.

    But now I'm up to 40s :wiggle:

    I saw a guy put baby oil on his non-new tat yesterday in the locker room. He then went out and did curls in the side of a bench, facing all the hamster machines. My shitty little forarms were bigger than his calves. :mamoru:

    That doesn't make me feel so bad about being 150 lbs. :hs:

    I honestly don't care who the hell looks at me in the gym, or what they think. I'm a small guy, and I'm in there working my ass off. If they've been around, or continue to be around after the resolutioners go home, they'll figure it out.

    you gotta start somewhere, i started doing like 115lb on the bench and deadlifting 90lbs,and squatting like 115lb :o

    it comes down to, are you in there for yourself, or to impress other people?

    you answered your own question. non-ressy's have chest and arms as part of their weekly routine, not solely as their weekly routine
