how do you burn an xvid file into a vcd/svcd?

    I'm in the process of trying to burn an xvid avi file into a vcd/svcd, can anyone give me any instructions on how to do this, thanks!

    Use TMPGEnc to convert it to MPEG1 which is used for VCD.
    If you wanted MPEG2, used for SVCD, then you'd have to pay extra for the plugin used to encode it.

    After that just use Nero to burn it as a VCD.
    Nero might be able to convert the file to VCD, the problem is it'll take 10-times longer to encode it before it even starts the burn...the burn will be just it normally is.
