How do "role" off a bar? v. nospotters

    If i'm doing flat bench and going hard but cant get the bar up what do i do?

    i know you're supposed to role the weight off or whatever but how do you do it? i was experimenting with just the bar but wasn't sure how to.

    do you push the weight down toward your legs and rest it there? or tip it over and off the side, perpindicular to the ground?

    you can role it to your waist, sit up, and work from there? :dunno:

    if someone sees you stuck they will generally help.

    when I get stuck i rest it on my stomach, put my feet on the bench, put my arms where the bar racks, and push my body up so the weight will roll down my stomach, past my chest, over my face and down my arms and rack itself.

    or ill use db's

    I just got the best mental image ever.

    I generally will roll it down to my waist area, sit up, then pick the bar up off my lap, stand up and put it back.

    Secondly, use db's if you're that worried.

    thats only because hes to busy discovering what an erection is now that hes on 400mg test.

    I wouldn't reccomend having to do it period. In an emergency, I guess you can roll it down, but if you've got more than pussy weight on there it's gunna fucking hurt bad. Dumping it would be safer for you. ie no collars and you spill the weight. You're better off getting a spot or using DB's.

    Dont use the clips on the ends of the Barbell. If you get in trouble, dump the weights off each end.. I cant believe no one posted this yet.

    only the 2 people above you, what do you think "dump it" means? rolling is obviously gonna do more harm than good. You won't see my ass rolling 300+ along all my internal organs or pinned down on my neck
