    :ugh:

I'm super paranoid about checking my guns and making sure they're unloaded. I check them before I leave the range. I check them before putting them up (unless it's a defensive gun, then I usually reload it with defensive ammo). And before I clean then, I check them, then field strip them. And even when the gun is in pieces, I still watch the muzzle and the trigger.

    A bonus crazy story:

I cleaned my car at the car wash yesterday. Apparently, someone had put an extra quarter in the coin box.... Pulled the wand trigger and damn near took my eye out! Should only be designed to accept one quarter at a time! This is not a laughing matter! What happened to me could happen to other people. Thing should have a warning buzzer and a trigger lock. Think of the children!

does anyone proof read this shit?

    I had given him everything

“When he shot me, the gun had those dumb-dumb bullets in it, they’re made to maim, to do more damage, and upon impact they explode. If you were shot with a normal bullet it might make a small hole, but in this case it makes a very large hole and it explodes, it damages all the tissue. When he shot me, I put my hand up, it hit me in the hand. Because it was a semi-automatic weapon several bullets flew even though he may have squeezed the trigger only once. One bullet went through my hand, I had a coat on and I had entrance and exit holes in my coat, at my chest, but only my hand was hit. I didn’t really feel pain. At that point my hand fell in my lap and I looked down at it and there were two giant gaping holes in the palm of my hand. As he was walking away he said, ‘You better get that looked at.’ I don’t know why he pulled the trigger, I had given him everything.

    They're just strictly for killing

"I don't believe in having guns in the house. I have never seen so many pistols and guns in my life as these youngsters carry now, and how they get them I don't know. They're just strictly for killing. What other reason would you have a pistol except to kill a person? I believe in ten foot angels! Angels are there to protect us; somebody might still shoot you but then that was God's plan."

Best one, so God must hate you bitch as your ass got shot

Seven people died, seven were wounded

"He fired close to ninety rounds, he reloaded several times. All this took place in roughly twelve minutes. Then he killed himself. Seven people died, seven were wounded. No one at the church knew him. We found out from his family that he'd had problems with mental illness. I was hospitalized for a month; I had abdominal surgery. I now have chronic digestive problems.

Ninety rounds and seven people wtf!? Ok im going to hell for saying that :o

    Same dude though

    I'm a gun owner

"I'm a gun owner. Even though I've been through this I still think it's the people's right to own guns as stated in the constitution and the Bill of Rights. It's just as important as freedom of speech. It gives the individual the right of protection. Most people who own firearms are law abiding citizens and I don't believe in punishing the majority because of the actions of the few. It has more to do with the person who utilizes a gun to kill people than it has to do with the instrument they use. I have no problems with background checks; I think most people don't. I think it will help cut down on events like the one at Wedgwood. I've attended gun shows and I think the loop hole is a problem. They could come up with a picture I.D. for people who want to buy or sell guns and have it validated once a year. Something that says, 'I've had a background check to see if I'm a felon, or have a history of mental illness, this is me.' Then the paperwork of the transaction would have to be filled out and filed."

    They're not thinking that much

"What they think is having fun is actually dangerous. They're not thinking that much. It needs to stop, but in my view, it's never going to stop. So long as we got war and hate in this country we're going to have reckless endangerment. I'd like to see people put them away, turn all weapons and guns in. Get them out of the hands of criminals so they can't shoot people. I have no plans for the future yet. I'm a real haphazard kind of thinker; I'm a kind of spur of the moment kind of thinker."

I've gotten into the habit of checking a firearm when I pick it up or it's handed to me that it's pretty much 2nd nature now. Granted I've owned gun and been shooting for about 6 years but I cannot imagine picking up a firearm and NOT checking it.

I had someone hand me a 226 out of their safe once and when I racked the slide back a live round popped out. This gun had been sitting for months like that. It's always best to check, there's no reason not to.
