Odd question, but you guys should know better than anyone. Physiologically, what happens when you work out to cause you to get stronger/bigger?
You don't get a higher number of muscle fibres, your existing ones get larger... but how?
Tear down sarcomeres and rebuild with a larger number of actin/myosin strands?
    I'm really curious
A link would suffice... I can't find the info I'm looking for

Look at "sarcoplasmic hypertrophy" or "myofibrillar hypertrophy."
