Ok, so last weekend i went out and picked up a sub/amp in delaware(no tax ftw)

i got it all installed and everything, it sounded good at first, but upon f'in with it last night it now sounds slightly distorted. What are like normal settings for single sub on the plate?

    its a kenwood headunit (KDC-MP535U), a kenwood amp (Kenwood KAC-7202) and a pioneer 12" TSW301R in a Q-Logic sealed box

does this make sense? I tried tuning it till it sounded good, some songs it did, others it sounded horrid. i suck at the car audio

You're gonna need a digital multi-meter and a CD with test tones to do this. Since you're doing a sub, get a 100HZ/0 DB tone, you can download it off iTunes, just search for Bassmekanik or test tones. It sounds like you have your amp gains set too high. Set your gain using this tutorial:

    Hope it helps.
