    How are you computer skills?

Network them together? Burn to CD/DVD? Put hard drive in new computer copy files, format, have 2 drives? External Hard Drive? Use a less shitty music player that way you know where the files are located them first?

Don't forget to deauthorize your old computer after you finished the transfer.

If all of your music is in the My Music folder, just backup the whole directory. After you reinstall itunes on the new machine, copy the my music folder over.

I like Winamp, but iTunes still wins for buying singles.

depends, if you bought the music from itunes, you need to deauthorize it first and then transfer it over

if they files are mp3s, just send them over. multiple ways of doing this, you could transfer to an external hard drive, network the pcs, burn them to dvd/cd, put them on your ipod and extract them with sharepod...

You are aware that Apple counts how many computers are authorized at the same time, right? I've had a few times when it wouldn't let me authorize until I deauthorized on another machine, because my auth count was already at 5.

yes, I've hit that limit 11ty times. you simply log into your account (web-based) and there's a "reset" button. It automatically de-auths all the machines and you just have to enter your password next time you try to play a protected song and it will re-auth that machine.

I have formatted my machine sooooo many times and forgot to de-auth. It's no big deal.

You *used* to have to call them.... but not any more.

Open the folder where your iTunes music is stored, copy it to something removable, then plug the something into your new machine and copy the music back into the iTunes music folder.
