I've got a 41mb video clip that I need to shrink/compress to something small enough to link for a website.

Anyone know how to go about it?

use a more advanced compression codec or lower the resolution.

fire up movie maker2 or whatever its called, you can then export the movie and choose the codec etc.

save it as an .wmv or .mpg file. wmv is smaller.

I looked everywhere I could think of in there, and the only option I find
is saving it to the same file type/size it is now.

    (Windows movie maker)

Oh crap, it wound up being easy. I used Total Video Converter.

The same one I used to convert the file for Nero Vision where I trimmed the video in the first place.

It took the video from 41mb to 2mb.

    I'm so brain dead.
