    ???

what's the best and cheapest way to do so!!!

  2.

    try common sense.

you should already be running norton anti-virus or mcaffee to prevent delivery of most spyware.

you shouldn't be installing files from untrusted sources or websites.

if you get infected, run lavasoft adaware. if you're too lazy to be smart about what you run or install and get infected anyways, regularly update and run adaware.

install and update spybot search and destroy, then use the imunize feature. Blocks 500ish pieces of spyware automatically.

I just don't let anything suspicious get on my computer :dunno:

On the *rare* occasion that something makes its way inside my computer, I use adaware, spybot, and make sure nothing nasty is autostarting

You are sure acting like a butt-munching n00b, seeing as how this IS C&P, not the main forum.

give it up, the guy (at the top) was asking for help, either help him out or shut the fuck up, stop trying to show everyone how big of a badass you are :slap:

  13. eat my ass. OMG I told the guy to employ common sense. holy shit! I also told him what else he needed to do, explicitly. so again, eat my ass, little man.

JWW, once again, this is not the main forum, we in C&P actually try to keep an "approachable" air about us. People come here to get serious answers, not a response from someone that sounds like he's irritated that he has to pause SuperHorseFucker9{DivX}.avi long enough to answer a simple question.
I believe that the C&P mods would agree.

    On Topic:
:werd: to running Spybot-Search&Destroy, AND Ad-Aware. Together they make a great team.
Another thing that helps with preventing Spyware/adware is using a better browser. IE has a lot of holes, and its the most popular, therefore the first target. I use Mozilla Firebird.

  18. he asked "easiest and cheapest"

and the correct answer to that is "use common sense" not "run out and buy or download" something.

    unbunch the panties kids.

and lebaron, I know the CRX is somewhat emasculating, but that's ok, 6G72 land isn't for everybody :fawk:

zonealarm will notify you when a program wants to connect to the internet, which is a handy alert. foundstone's fport will tell you which .exe is trying to establish the connection

  21. sorry, thought you were the guy who turboed a lebaron then got rid of it for a honduh :fawk:

  22. the thing I dislike about zonealarm is the fact that it seems to slow booting of my computer and occasionally chokes my network connection when I'm using a lot of different services at once ... :dunno:
