I made the mistake of inviting a friend over for about 2 weeks. I even stayed with my girlfriend and let him sleep on my bed.

The problem? He decided not to shower for 2 weeks. He showered a grand total of one time the whole time he was here despite me telling him to.

So he's left this horrible sweaty sour smell in my entire apartment.

I've left all the windows open for 3 days, washed my blankets and sheets twice, febreezed everything twice including the carpet...

AND IT STILL REEKS OF HIM.

I need some advice on how to get rid of this smell because it's killing me. I can't even stay in this apartment and my roommate is pretty pissed off too.

this reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with the valet who got Jerry's car smelling like BO :mamoru:

I have no idea what you can do short of washing the shit out of everything he touched. Try adding baking soda and vinegar to the wash when you do it :dunno:

a friend of mine suggested boiling vinegar and then having it evaporate everywhere

then leave the windows open and air it out

apparently then it'll be ok again

he claims it's a "home remedy" and works....thoughts?

    baking soda everywhere!

if you have carpet, rent a good cleaner to get them fresh.
