    here's the thing though.. the WHOIS is still listed under the original owner....

    maybe the hosting expired instead of the domain?

    It might be the registrar redirecting for their personal benefit. I think network solutions did this as well. Who is it hosted with? Also, did your friend try logging in? :hsugh:

    Try to renew it.

    I lost rehost.org, someone else registered it, then I scooped it back up even though someone else had it.

    theres like a 75 day period where the original owner has priority over re-registering.
