how do i eliminate ads that pop up in a new window?

    :ugh: these ads for some adultfriendfinder shit open up randomly in a new window and take up the whole screen. my google popup blocker cant kill it either. wtf, how do i get rid of em? they just started happening today

    Be sure the messenger service is disabled also. Start | Administrative Tools | Computer Management. IN the window that opens go to Services and Applications | Services and select Messenger. Make sure it's set to Disable. You may have to reboot to ensure the change is applied.

    Norton as well as other companies have additional pop-up blockers to block ads....however, I've never found anything that works 100% of the time. Seems that there is always someone who finds a way around these blockers but it's much better then it used to be.

    yes. ive ran adaware and even Smitfraudfix just in case.... i still get em.

    blah, i just system restored to hours before it all happened. everythings back to normal :)
