how do i disable the internal speaker?

    how do i disable the internal speaker?

    i'm sick of that bastard making so many unnecessary high pitched beeps that don't mean anything, could someone tell me how to disable it?

    disconnect it or check your bios to shut off speaker

    depends on whether it's soldered on or connected via a 1x4 plug.

    just cut the damn wire, you can always reconnect it later

    If you use windows you don't need to cut it off or whatever. Just open the device manager, click the view menu and check show hidden devices, click non-plug and play drivers, double click beep, click the driver tab and hit stop.

    When I go into the master volume there is an option for PC speaker. (if it isn't there go into the properties and click on the box for it so it will show up.) Then I just mute it when I want to. Damn MySQL beeps.

    Right-click My Computer > Manage > Expand Device Manager > Expand System Devices > Right-click System Speaker > Disable. Restart pc.
