When I save a picture fom photoshop it's 57.6kb but when I open up the same picture and save it in paint it's 24kb...?

I'm trying to get this picture 20kb or under so I can use it for an av. :o

thanks if you can help me :hsd:

btw, does the border looked a bit fucked up to anybody else? I expanded the image in photoshop from 149x149 to 150x150 and added a white filler (border) but it doesn't look like it's 1px all the way around. (maybe it is?)

if it was 149^2 and you made it 150^2 it increased by only 1px on each axis... Since you cannot split 1px it now has a border along only 1 side of each axis.

Photoshop defaults to maximum quality with it's saves. Use option File > Save as web... and you can mess with the format/compression options to find the best blend of quality and size.
