Probably need to turn off filesharing cause sometimes if you have that on it wont let you rename anything. To reaname just double click on the name and it will go to a curson. Type what you want in an then hit return or enter.

nothing is...i had itunes running but shut that and it still wouldnt change. the main drive changes fine :dunno:

edit: when i try to delete some folders on the external drive it says i have insufficient privledges. is there anyway to access these priveleges and could that have something to do with it? maybe i need a pin setting on the drive (i took out the slave pin when i put it in the external case)

edit2: i placed the pin in the right place. one thing i noticed is that this hard drive is formated for the windows nt file system, not OS X. could this be the problem?

What's that thing that you do in OSX that rebuilds the permissions or something? I've never had to do it but I hear it fixes issues. Maybe this is one of them?
